Penn Charter Names Maher as Next Girls Soccer Coach

William Penn Charter Director of Athletics, Michael Brooks named Ashley Maher as Head Coach of Women's Soccer, effective immediately.
Maher has been an assistant with the program since 2013 and served as the interim head coach for the 2021 season.

Prior to her coaching career Ashley was named the Northeast Times, and Rotary Club, player of the year on the 1993 Philadelphia Catholic League Championship team from St. Hubert's. This success allowed her to progress to Seton Hall, where she played on the first team in program history. Her collective playing success earned her recognition as one of the class of 2016 inductees into the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame. During her nine seasons with Penn Charter, Ashley has helped lead the Quakers to four Inter-Academic League championships and two PAISAA state titles. She has helped develop 25 student-athletes into All Inter-Ac performers over this period of time.

After an extensive search, Coach Maher stood out from the other finalists due to her passion for excellence in all areas of the student experience at Penn Charter on and off the pitch. With her commitment to community and culture, we are all looking forward to another successful season.
